Marl vs Lueke T Cathy Lund, Ann Held I lard, Diane Bud in, Sandra Seb den Ann Shepherd, Sandra Silen, Judy Stoneroad, Marianne Sira ugh am. Charline Thrasher, Paul Troeh, El¬ inor Ulrich and Diane Warner. In February four junior members id the staff, Nancy Powers, Sharon Boylan, Janet Ruff, and Box Alee Martin, and Miss McGovern traveled to Seattle to attend the Pacific Slope School Press Conference held on the University campus. They returned fresh with ideas which they tried to use to advantage on the Journal, The staff again continued to take over cutting their own stencils; and helping with this, Barbara Jensen en¬ listed as staff typist. Special thanks go to Mrs, McDonald and the mene hers of the mimeographing detri¬ ment without whom the Journals could not have been mimeographed. HHHHHHHH IHHi , 4HHt 4HBj- 4H5 ter Club Poun- taken One of the high-lights of this year, the eleventh year of publication for the journal m one of the few high school dailies in the nation, was the Homecoming edition prepared by the staff in October, This four page paper boasted an entire page of pictures, a feature unprecedented in the Wa-Hi Daily Journal ' s history. Heading the staff for 1953-54 were Editor Joyce Beroev, Associate Edi¬ tor Dick Mobley Front Page Editor Nancy Powers, Back Page Editor Sharon Allen Business Editor Vir¬ ginia Gobble, and Exchange tali tor Carol Swcgle. Miss McGovern con¬ tinued to serve us the Journal ' s guar¬ dian angel, the adviser. At the beginning of first semester six reporters, Janice Barer, Ed Carter, Dick Estek Box Alee Martin, Janet Ruff, and i a Stegniiller, rounded out the rather small staff.
