0 y S federation promotes friendship, fellowship, and fun. The Boys Federation turned in a very successful year under the able supervision of Mr, Ledbetter, Dean of Boys, The year got under way with a Freshman frolic which was presented by the Boys ' and Girls 1 Federations. Wa-Hi ' s future Freshmen from the grade schools were welcomed in the spring by Boys ' Federation, A guided tour was conducted and refreshments were served. An assembly was held every month with many interesting programs featured including a movie and special program by the game department. The members of Boys 1 Federation also enjoyed a basketball game between the intramural all-stars and the faculty, A special project this year was writing letters to boys absent from school with the purpose of encouraging them back to school. This was ably carried out by Orville Kiehm The intramurals program was carried out by LeRoy Kelly. His duty was to care for the equipment, schedule the games to be played, publish the results, and determine the championship team. A trophy was awarded the winning team at the end of the school year. Adviser. His task was to help students with their schedules and troubles. He also originated the idea of sending the letters to boys absent from school. In addition, he gave a helping hand to transfers by arranging their schedule s and help¬ ing to get them acquainted with their new school.
