It has been said that they liked the city of Walla Walla so well, they named it twice !t seems to me the same applies to the Walla Walla High School, Your school is a community within a community Not only are you as students in the high school learning to be good citizens, you are being citizens in your school government and in other student activities, and in your academic work as well. Your transition from your school community to your adult community will be the easier because of your participation and accomplishments in Wa-Hi. To the graduating Seniors a sincere wish that you will be as proud of your community as you are of the Walla Walla High School ARTHUR D. JONES, Supf. of Schoo s A high school is a community within a community. Moreover, It is usually the best little civic group to be found in the average city. Where will you find an organized group of twelve hundred people in Walla Walla, or any other city, in which there is a level of conduct as high, or less dirty work at the crossroads? Cities are justly proud of their high schools In them are found the vitality, aspirations and cleanness that too many of the elders have used up and thrown away. The pride shown by you students in the good name of your school is most commendable. No one can beat down our schools if you keep your guard up. Good Luckl W. A. LACEY, Asst, Supt. of Schoo s The achievements for the past nine months have been outstanding. Teamwork and co-operation of students and teachers have been the pri¬ mary factors in these accomplishments. Best wishes for the future, Seniors. Keep up your fine work. W, G. LEDBETTER, Asst. Principal The basis for school spirit is loyalty to one ' s school. Sometimes we are too much inclined to rest on our laurels, Because Wa-Hi has been an outstanding school in the past is no reason that it will continue to be, unless each student and faculty member makes a continual effort. I am very much pleased with the business-like way school has progressed this year. It Is encouraging to see the students take and handle responsibility in their student government. We are fortunate in having outstanding student leaders. Our activities have been highly successful and will give future students a goal to attain. Congratulations to a fine Senior class, and may you have much success and happiness. To both students and faculty, whatever we do as a school, may we do it well, ROBERT P, KLAVA NO, P rind pal Again the treat of the year is the Royal Blue with its record of the activities and events of 1951-52. Congratulations to the staff for a job well done. Reminiscence of the school year recalls many pleasant and happy as¬ sociations and memories of another successful term. The students are to be commended upon their growing interest in and assumption of more responsibility in handlin g their own government, the training ground for adult participation in our democratic way of life,
