JUNIORS During the past year the juniors have figured prominently in school affairs. During this year members of the junior class have not only formed the nucleus of the varsity football and basketball teams but the baseball team as well. Athletes of whom the class of 1941 is especially proud are Paul Garland, Jack Kenney, Bud Miller, Dick Clarke, Dick Eggers, David Cox, Jack Melton, Darrel Gilliam, and Warren Bischoff, Three of the champion fencers of the Northwest, Wallace Long- mire, Bobby Mackie, and DeWitt Barre, are members of this class as well. Patty Eggers, Patricia Hoover, and Lernore Russell are also undefeated by any girls ' team of fencers. Many other girls in the class have earned letters in girls ' sports. Several members of the class hold the highest scholastic averages in the entire school at the present time. Eleanor Scheece, Harold Pratt, Dorothy Kelley, and Dorothy Chriscoe are members of the varsity debate team. Eleanor Scheece and Harold Pratt also had important parts in the all-school play this year. Harold Pratt, as a dramatic dele¬ gate, and Dorothy Chriscoe, as a speech delegate, represented Wa-Hi at the Dra¬ matic Festival at the University of Washington and the Speech Festival this year. Several members of the class have also been active in the various fields of journalism. Numerous offices that require qualities of leadership have also been filled by members of the class. Bob Boldman has served as president of the Camera Club during the past year and Marion Fox has been president of the Future Craftsmen of America and Haroold Pratt has been president of the Troubadours for the past semester. Harold Dyer holds an important office in the Legislative Assembly and Doris McCauley is at present treasurer of Girls ' Federation.
