Toner, Hilbert, C.; Gibbons. ROW 2—Zinser, Wamble, Harold, Lange, Flomer, Rehberg, Beatty, Kelso. The Girls ' Rifle Club has been meeting every Thursday on the indoor range, using the regulation .22 caliber rifles, the same as boys use for gallery practice. All have made considerable progress, and Camille Hunt and Maxine Hilbert have been shar¬ ing the high scores throughout the season. The highest score was made by Camille Hunt, 98 out of 100 possible points. Captain Allison and Mrs. Allison are advisers and instructors of the dub. Jc 1 ‘ There are 18 enrolled in the Fencing Squad, only one, Sherwood Palmer, being a veteran of last year. In spite of the inexperience of the squad, good progress has been made. On a recent trip to the University of Idaho, the Wa-Hi squad was de¬ feated 6 to 3 in a very good match. It is hoped to have a meet with Whitman be¬ fore the season closes, and next season if is hoped to have meets with other schools and colleges in the Northwest. Captain Allison is fencing instructor. Wilson, Robanske. Wa-Hi ' s musical activities, under the direction of Mr, Hal Tilley and Mrs Ches¬ ter C Maxey have branched out into new field—radio. The band, which is connected with the R G.T.C. unit, led parades, played for games, assemblies, radio, Commencement and Baccalaureate, and traveled to nearby cities for different festivals The Pep Band, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, is a smaller organiza¬ tion selected from members of the R.O.T.C Band, plays for games and assemblies, and represents Wa-Hi and Walla Walla at out-of-town games and ceremonials The orchestra, also directed by Mr Tilley, was in great demand for performances before the assembly, P.TA., the Senior Play, and Commencement. The chorus t directed by Mrs. Maxey, gave selections over the radio, sang for the P.T.A., assembly, and Commencement, and performed at a Christmas program at the Presbyterian Church. Page Twenty-Six
