The Importance of Being Earnest ' Again directed by Miss Catherine McDonnell, a cast of Senior students presented to an appreciative audience the Senior Class play, (f The Importance of Being Earnest”, by Oscar Wilde, The comedy, which greatly amused the audience with its caustic humor and confused situations, concerned a non-existent Mr. Earnest Worthing, two pretenders to bis name, two ladies engaged to them. Lady Bracknell, whose business war directing people’s lives, and Miss Prism, whose dignified love affair with the Reverend Dr Chasuble was conducted quite primly and properly. A happy finale found all the couples happily united under Lady Bracknell’s begrudging approval. Pace Twenty-Nine

Singing Pirates and Pirettes Colorful costumes and well executed stagecraft enhanced the operetta Joan of the Nancy Lee,” by Agnes E. Peterson and Louis W. Curtis, presented March 12 and 13. Under the direction of Miss Idol the orchestra and entire cast gave forth musical and dramatic talent that blended harmoniously to give an evening’s entertainment The plot was one that had both comedy and near-tragedy, with everything turning out happily for all concerned. Miss Helen McCormick assisted in directing. The boys 7 and girls’ chorus classes sang. Leads were taken by Bette Pittock, Lee Mantz, Jr , William Ruther, Nancy Pratt, Stirling LeRoux, Jack DeMaris, Keith Griffiths, Sherwood Palmer, Doug Lemmel, Aline Reynolds, Marian Taylor, Pauline Prutsman, Dorothy Fuller, Lois Lane, Alberta Garrett, John Sutherland, Howard Dix and Robert Jones.
