Wa HPs Trophies The Gym is Dedicated Th? Realization of the Dream The Rooting Section at Any Game Dreams Come True The new Wa-Hi gym, dedicated and opened for use last December, has many new and convenient features which are outstanding in themselves. The gym has two hardwood courts, the larger for the boys, and on which the varsity games are played. The boys’ floor has six adjustable baskets, and can be fixed so the floor is regulation college size. For the spectators 3 benefit an electric scoreboard is used. The girls ' floor is separated ftom the main floor by sound-proof folding doors, and has lines for shuffleboard, badminton, and basket¬ ball, The girls ' lounge room has been tastefully furnished by the Girls Federation, and contains a ping pong table. The basement has showers, lockers, and equipment rooms. There is a room for boxing and wrestling, and a large classroom for the health and physical educa¬ tion classes. The gym was built for community interests, too. The bleacher ' s seating capacity is 1600, and the boys ' floor may be covered with folding chairs, and the girls ' gym used for a stage. To the side of the girls ' gym is a large, modern kitchenette for use at banquets. Other fea¬ tures are the large lobby, with its trophy cases, and special sliding compartments for folding chairs. The students of Wa-Hi are justly proud of the new gym, the fulfilment of a dream of many years among sports enthusiasts of Walla Walla,
