1979 saw the emergence of a band program at Walkerville High School. Authorties claim that nearly DO years have past since Walkerville last attempted to make its mark in the world of music. This year's high school band is made up of 52 members from grades 7-12. Under the direct ion of Miss. Kay Parker this group of novice muscians per- formed at the annual Christmas program and there are plans for a Spring Concert plus parade marching this summer. Due to the fact that a large number of people have invested money in the band, this program promises to become a service of community pride in the near future..
