Talce the splendid help and encouragement of Miss Brown, Mrs. Linton and Miss Clarlaeg add the spirit and cooperation ot the entire schoolg mix well with the Fine Athletic Board on the joh this year, and loot: at the result f- 1942-43, a perfect year. The Board otters its humhle thanlas to everyone for all the aid and encouragement received through the year. During the fall term, interest in hockey hit an all time high. The Fall Tennis Toumament was postponed hecause snow tell long hefore it was Finished. The Sun-Dial competition was, as usual, hard fought. It was only with much ditliculty that the Dials nosed the Suns out ot the cup. Because of the war, we were unahle to play any outside games, hut in place of them a Junior Varsity was organized to play a series against the Varsity. The annual alumnae game was also played oft, and there was a gymlchana for the riders. The winter term proved ditticult, for two weelcs were dropped hecause of the oil- to-coal conversion of the school. Therefore the gym meet had to he ahandoned and only a few haslcethall games were played. The weather seemed always to hit extremes with only one really time weelc conducive to winter sports. hut even in the short time a slai meet was organized tuming out to he successful for the Suns. The weather man, still contrary, held up the spring program until after the Pepper Pot had gone to press. 107
