The Sun ParTy I W4 v ' ANY and biTTer are The sighs of The ' housekeepers who find ThaT They musT Q? pay a visiT To The employmenT agency. Poor '-...-' women! The Trouble wiTh Them is They jusT X- don'T go To The righT one. lf They only knew Q ,I , how easy iT could be! We Dials found This ouT This winTer when The Suns leT us in on a Aj f big scoop. All you've goT To do is To drop in aT The Will-GeT-U EmploymenT Agency , t' and Miss Place Us, Anne Cunningham, will T find her or him, no maTTer who iT is. TalenT X jusT oozes aT This disfinguished place. While we were There a family of Three, Parry Reed. Rosie Palmer, and Barbara Jenney, per- ! formed a delighTful Tap dance which sTarTed 'ea The ball rolling, for They were followed by J four charming singers, Daphne FirTh, Mary W Le Blond, Diane Du Bois, and BeTTy BriTTon, ably accompanied by Sallie Cronkhife. AfTer ThaT, a chorus of The waiTresses, The E.W.S. girls, and The chefs displayed Their versaTiliTy by enTerTaining us wiTh an exTremely original dance. Suddenly in dashed a WesTern Union Boy, Carol Keeley, jWesTern Union boys are always dashing, you knowj, wiTh a birThday Telegram for Miss Walker from Denby--Very ThoughTful of Denby. lnsTead of having To hurry Through our delicious dusTy millers in order To see The play we could siT and enjoy Them and waTch The firsT scene of The play aT The same Time. Mr. Tonday, Eleanor Wrighf, comes To The Will-GeT-U EmploymenT Agency To geT Two waiTresses and Two waiTers for a wedding dinner To be held aT The BonipeTT Tavern for CounT STan, The Ash Can Man, formerly known as l-lecfor, The Garbage CollecTor, and CounTess Pearl, The Laundry Girl. The second scene is aT Joe's ResTauranT. AT one Table are Mable and CounTess Pearl, no less. AT anoTher Table are Roy. BuTch, and Counf Sfan. AT boTh Tables dirTy work is afoof. The CounT and The CounTess boTh Think ThaT The oTher is rich. The Counfess ploTs To have her accomplices, Mable and Maisie, rob her of her jewels aT The wedding dinner in order ThaT she can geT The insurance which The counT has supposedly Taken ouT on all her jewelry. The Counf meanwhile is ploTTing wiTh BuTch and Roy The same robbery in order To pawn The jewels which he Thinks are real. The guesfs aT The wedding dinner were all a liTTle non-plussed. as we were, when Maisie and Mable from one side and Bufch and Roy from The oTher simulTaneously landed on Pearl and grabbed her jewels. All four missed. and The jewels fell inTo The soup and dissolved. All conspiracies being Too obvious now. STan is furious aT Pearl for noT being a CounTess and Pearl is equally furious aT Sfan for noT being The CounT she had ThoughT he was. Greafer sTill, however, is Their disTress when The proprieTress of The BonipeTT, Shirley Hopkins, asks who is going To pay The check. The lasT scene finds STan and Pearl washing dishes in The kiTchen of The BonipeTT, in order To pay The bill. BuT never say ThaT They leT a liTTle Thing like being broke geT Them down: They decide ThaT, afTer all. Two can live beTTer Than one, iT you don'T eaf. Thanks, Balchie, Carol, and Klippy, for a lovely evening! From beginning To end iT was perfecT! I26
