Xf- Oc --1 45, .X The naTive eskimos, skaTers, and Russians enTer- W l X Tained us by dances, and The well-pillowed Mrs. ,X XJ-J N XX Ima Gushing lreally Bam Sperryl gave us a lec- fA,t,,f 'NC' Ture on Skiing in SaTeTy , An ouTsTanding Tea- 'N T f Ture was The phosphorescenT chorus, whose ::A Tx.-'P' W -- Zgloves and shoes glowed mysTeriously in The 'N 'ZX dark. L, -'X-fx.. The conducTor soon called All aboard and we seT ouT Tor our nexT sTop - The gym. Looking in The window oT a Train beside us, we saw an old proTessor, Nancy Lawrence, laden wiTh his laTesT ski conTrapTion - a bird cage and beauTy parlor chair proTecTed by an umbrella. This laTer provided boTh comedy and Tragedy on The ski hill. WiTh a crash oT Talling skis, Mama and Papa Beach and The Three li++Ie Beaches - lSandy, Sunny, and Rockyl - enTered The car. A Tew minuTes laTer, playboy Johnny Walker and sophisTicaTe Ginger Mason goT on The Train. They were an aTTracTive pair, and when we reached our desTinaTion, Snow Good lnn we were glad To see ThaT They were also There Tor The weekend - well Taken care oT by Marie and Ted, The ski insTrucTors lAnn Philipp and Caroline Heming- wayl. We noTed wiTh amusemenT ThaT Ginger Tound Johnny enTirely Too occupied wiTh Marie, and were noT surprised To see her welcome Ted's aTTenTion in Turn. This, oT course, didn'T please Marie, who was only doing her iob in enTerTaining Johnny. Marie Took Johnny on a skiing expediTion, buT alThough we were shown how To accom- plish The diTTiculT arT, Johnny was anyThing buT successful. AT This poinT liTe had become equally miserable Tor Ginger and Johnny. Unknowingly, They each leTT on The same Train earlier Than They had planned. Ginger serenaded wiTh us Their Theme song This Can'T Be Love . lT broughT The Two TogeTher again as The vicTrola ran down To a happy ending. We haTed To see The Train pull ouT oT The sTaTion, and as a parTing call we wanT To Tell Cherry and The Suns ThaT iT was The besT Trip we've ever Taken. Many Thanks! II4

J.l inTroduced The waiTers, who were ' I T noT only very eTTicienT buT also excellenT singers. 1, X l These were Tollowed by Two counTry dancers ' lBeTTy Clarke and Johnnyl. ATTer Them, some j T, W peasanT dancers showed us Their accomplish- 5N'NN. xp!-' menTs. As The monks lGeorgie, Ronnie and AN Nancy Johnsonl were noT busy rescuing Travel- fr hz-Eh lers, They obligingly did Their dance. Then The milkmaids sTrolled by on Their way home singing Their milking song. Jane Miller and some children came aTTer Them, singing a song. LasTly The innkeeper appeared again wiTh his accordion and sTarTed us singing German Tunes. By This Time we TelT compleTely aT home, yodeling and humming, so we were quiTe prepared To see our innkeeper leave us and reappear a minuTe laTer up on The sTage hanging a sign in The inn. lT was a summer morning, in The square OT a small Swiss village, The TirsT scene oT The scinTillaTing musical comedy Beer on The House wiTh iTs many marvelous acTresses. The sTory is abouT a young nobleman, Frederick, lGinnie Richardsl who is misTaken by a young TourisT lJean VeriTyl Tor The mounTain guide aT The Inn. Jean is Travelling wiTh some school girls lJohnny, PaTsy Crooks and Jeanie WalTonl chaperoned by l-larrieT Porcher, a Typical nervous school marm. Jean and Frederick Tall in love and There is much exciTemenT and Trouble To keep her Trom marrying The 'lwrong man buT iusT as we hoped, everyThing ends happily, Tor Jean Tinds ThaT he is The son oT her moTher's Triend lhliggyl. The caTchy Tunes wriTTen by ThaT genius, BeTTy FiresTone, had us all spellbound. Man on My Mind and Love in A FlaT are our mosT popular pieces, and we are a criTical bunch!
