The Hockey Season HE hockey season This year was Tun Tor y g 'N' The enTire school and very successTul, Too. Mabsie, Miss Bowlby. and Miss Long . as coaches. and Frankie BrighT as capTain. couldn'T have helped us more or have been more of an inspiraTion. Splendid spiriT was shown, in ThaT, Tor The TirsT Time in The his- Tory of The school. The sevenTh Team won . The Handicap Hockey TournamenT, by de- ' TeaTing bofh The VarsiTy and second Teams. V 1 This does noT mean, however, ThaT we did noT have a good VarsiTy, Tor, alThough in a Q I close game on our own Tield The VarsiTy W losT 2-I To Low-Heywood, They quickly re- deemed Themselves wiTh a vicTory oT 3--I over Rosemary Hall. The second Team was especially ouT- sTanding in Their overwhelming deTeaTs of bofh Rosemary Hall and Low-Heywood wiTh The scores of 7-O and 5-O respec- Tively. The loss of Barbara Donahue in The Rosemary Hall game was The only misTorTune ThaT The Team suffered all Tall. The Sun-Dial games were very exciTing, wiTh a Sun vicTory in The TirsT game and Dial vicTories in The Tollowing Two. The grandsTands also showed splendid spiriT in The new and wiTTy cheers They gave voice To during The halves. BoTh clubs indulged in a Ii++Ie compeTiTion on The side in Trying To ouTdo each oTher in noise. The second Team Sun-Dial games were more successful Tor The Suns. This year There were only Three hockey blazers lThe reward oT an undeTeaTed hockey Teaml sTill leTT in The school.
