VR 975 .5366 Wa Central Rafpatvjnnock Repantrt LPbemy 1201 Caroline Street Change is the key to our times. Nowhere can one look without being confronted with it. The demand change brings on each of us is tremendous! The world seems to expect us to accept change as a mater of course and gives little thought to the disruption and discomfort that change brings. Walker-Grant is in itself a world of change. Each year over two hundred young people begin a two year program here whose purpose is to accomodate and assist them in changing from a child into a young adult. The proximity afforded me as principal keeps me vitally aware of the problems brought by change to each of you. If I did not know that growth is painful, that God and nature intend for you to become men and women, and that each of you is destined to suffering his own pain I would take little pleasure from my work. Watching you grow and develop is, however, pure delight. Your aspirations and ambitions inspire me. I believe tomorrow’s world will be a better place because of you and because of the changes you will suffer to create it. Charles F.
