As Freshmen learn a few names each day, new teachers are faced with thirty new names each class period. But it is not long until that new face is no longer strange but a treasured friend. At Walker these new and unique qualities are as fresh as any we have met. Facing Walker for the first time as a freshman can be a nightmare. But an even scarier thought is that of harder academic ad- vancements. Students become aware that it is time to get down to a serious stage and put forth their all. Facing harder and more advanced courses is very challenging. Many new courses are becoming more prevalent at Walker so that it has put Walker in a position to promote even higher education. One of the greatest ways that we can be honored for our academic achievements is to be inducted into the National Honor Society. This induc- tion indicates what we have striven for so eamestly. It shows that we have ap- plied knowledge from earlier years. Even as the school work may be a challenge in itself, an even bigger one may be seeing new faces.
