.rv-1 NC 6 Foreword Terrie Weinstein Eddie Faught E ditors-in-C hief Dear Reader, On the cover of this volume is the seal of Walker High School with its inscription, Physical-mental-social. The life of each member of our class has been greatly influenced in these areas during his four short, busy years at Walker. In these years, we have come to know the spirit of Walker well. lt is the hard-to-define atmosphere that is felt in all the activities of our school-whether happy, sad, exciting, or, rarely, boring. Every student has had a part in forming this spirit. We will remember it long after we have forgotten names and events. The names and events of this memorable year are recorded in this yearbook. Ifit also brings back more clearly, in years to come, the spirit of our days at Vlfalker, our purpose will be accomplished. Withthis hope, we, the graduating class of 1964-, present this edition of the Black Gold to you, the students, friends, and alumni of Walker County High School. Sincerely, W 2 MRS. ANNIS SPEED Dedication Patience is the companion of wisdomf, For her loyalty, her patience, her sincere love of youth, her unfail- ing guidance, and her never-ending efforts to aid us and our school in every possible way, we, the graduating class of 1964 dedicate this edition of the Black Gold to Mrs. Annis Speed. ,I 7 Tcigf l'r'f',-'21, 'Q 'Y' l7V':j.I 'zxrvrig' 0, ' 'Iv 4 I . . - A, , 1 1. :rf-if N-A, M'12'27 vfmgxlf Agggvff.
