CLASS PROPHECY Toward the end of the semester, the juniors of '48 took an advanced course in science. We enjoyed it very much, and took part in several experiments. Mr. Shipton invited Professor Bleekwater to lecture on his recent discovery of the atom pill. He accepted the invitation, and we juniors were honored when he asked us to participate in the trial of the atom capsule. These pills were truly amazing, because they gave us the power to look into the future. This we did, and it so happened that we saw what the future held for our five seniors. The following is the outcome of our interest- ing observations. LEON ARP: .It cameas a great surprise to everyone when Leon decided to takeflaw, because his high school ambition had been to teach. He attended Harvard University, and here had ,the honor of being voted the most eligible bachelor on the campus Because of Leon's great mental ab1lity,he was able to finish the eight year law course in three years After graduating, he went to France and took part in several outstanding court trials While in Paris on business, he became infatuated with a lovely mademoiselle Because of his important work, Leon decided not to marry her though, and he returned to the United States alone Next year Leon intends to run for President on the Democratic ticket MARY LOU SNELL Mary Lou was the type of person who had many ambitions, but was hesitant to decide on her l1fe's career After leav ing Walford High, she was chosen by a scout to play basket ball with the All American Red Heads She became famous in this sport, and while on a tour of California, she visited Hollywood Here she met the man she had been looking for the famous crooner, Percival Smoochbottom III Mary Lou and Mr Smoochbottom were married and are now residing in Death Valley DOLORES ERUSHA and DON BOESENBERG By a strange coincidence Dolores and Don both attended the University of Iowa Here their high school romance flourished and they were soon married Both continued their courses, Don majoring in mathematics and Dolores in music After graduating, they tau ht together at Springville After eight years as musbc instructor, Dolores resigned and is now the proud mother of triplets Jon,Don,and Lon JOYCE HOFMASTLR On leaving high school, Joyce attended the Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids When she finished her course she operated an exlusive beauty salon in Walford She created the Kurly Ku wave, and the women of Iowa thronged to her doors Sonn Joyce became a very rich woman One day while visiting in Oxford she met a curly haired lad They were married shortly after, and now Joyce supports their family of nine healthy boys Her husband retired several years ago f'm ?
