P. Sciuto, Editor-in-Chief R. White and E. McMahon, Assistant Editors Worry never baked a cake, built a brid e, won a battle, solved a problem, or prepared a yearbook for puglication. Yet, somehow, the concern that accompanies worr finally leads to effective action and the hope that discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot. Thus, we set about the task of producing Awakening '72 . We have attempted to communicate a portion of what student life means to us. ln our effort to transmit the ideas and emotions of one person or group to the minds of others, we had to depend on the encouragement, support and cooperation of many people along the way. We were fortunate in having these. Communication, at best, is a very chancy business since we offer to share with others a part of ourselves and thereby become vulnerable. That is, however, the price one pays for loving and giving. We experienced all the above plus t e nagging doubts that perhaps our communication is not worth the risk of acceptance or rejection.
