Fairleigh Dickinson University The study of History is not limited to the study of one's native country. It is necessary to encompass the histories of other nations in order to observe differences, likenesses, and interactions between these various countries. Histo- ry establishes constants, used as guide- lines for present history. As Johann Wolfgan von Goethe said, What you have inierited from your fathers, earn again for yourselves, or it will not be yours. This year four Mini-courses, each ex- tending over a period of ten weeks, have been added to the Despartment. These are Anthropology, ociology, Psychology, and the Humanities. Remedial Reading There is a misconception existing that remedial read- ing is mainly for students with certain defects in read- ing. This is merel one of the concepts of this prog- gram. It has also been designed for the student who wishes to increase his comprehension of reading materials. It enables him to acquire speed and accu- racy. It broadens a student's vocabulary as well as develops desirable study habits. MR. KENNETH KELLY M.A. Columbia University jr. Class Advisor
