2 Mr. Greenburg Board of Education The Board of Education is a group of con- cerned adults, elected by the taxpayers of the community. They dedicate many hours of their time to establishing school policies governing the school system. They are responsible for appro- priating funds which provide for the education of the student. They guide a person through his high school years by setting up courses and offering help with prob- lems in subject matter or student-teacher rela- tionships. Counselors are most valuable to the seniors who must select colleges, fill out appli- cations, take the necessary entrance examinations and try for scholarships.
