Supplied with tables and chairs and a stage up front, not to mention the popcorn and water bar, plus posters and an old beat- up piano, the Unique was a meeting place for LYE teams, Bible studies, prayer meet- ings, and just good talks, in addition to being open almost every weekend for an evening. Several LYE teams from other colleges, high school gospel groups, and very often stu- dents would get together 8 share songs and skits. The Unique has grown to be a very special place, and with continued prayer, in- terest and hard work, it will continue to be a blessing to many people. Kip Fry, Nancy Indrebo, and Naomi Wendel were this year's caretakers. Jesus madepossi- ble a wonderful and active 1975-76 year for the Uniquev l 159 .Fii fwi y 4 ,lar l 1' 4 HALLELUJAH! I Right on with the Lord! A The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization of guys who have participated in high school or college athletics or intramurels and find victory not only on the athletic field but also in fellow- ship with Jesus Christ and each other. This idea was exemplified by the National Conference Theme HWe really do need each other,H and was carried on during the year as we found everybody had to be willing to help or nothing was accomplished. This year's officers were co-captains Joe Addis and Neal Weltzin, secretary Nick George, and treasurer Steve Hampshire. The activities during the year included: taking children from Winnebago Handicapped Services to a Waldorf football gameg helping with World Hunger week by having a pie-throwing booth at the carnivalg repairing toys for the needy people of Winnebago countyg holding a banquet with Mark Arneson, middle linebacker for the St. Louis Cardinals as the speakerg taking junior high boys to a Waldorf men's basketball game, then afterwards eating in the Valhalla and having Coach Mekelberg talk to themg enjoying a professional basketball game between Milwaukee and Houston, then staying overnight in Milwaukeeg visiting Handicapped Village in Clear Lakeg attending a weekfend retreat also in Clear Lakeg and finally hosting the 2nd annual FCA golf tourney at the Forest City golf course. Regular meetings were held periodically during the year and attempts were made to establish a constitution and gain space for an office and permanent place to meet. All in all it was a year of fun but more important a time for learn- ting the need to be truly Christ's examples both on and off the athletic field.
