tl 11 180 ,.-..,--v-Ov ,V -5 . , -wr ..fw Thx'-liiit 'i retaryg Carol Munch, president, Paul Nes vice-president, Neal Weltzin, reporter. The Beta Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa has been active on Waldorf's campus since 1932. This past year, our nation's Bicentennial year, has been particularly exciting. The chapter utilized the Bicentenni- al in many ways, such as painting fire plugs, sponsoring a theme- writing contest, and seeing that Waldorf was designated as a HBicen- tennial Campus.H Members volunteered to usher at school activities, to guide freshmen to their advisors' homes, to raise money for world hunger organizations, to help in the American Lung Association's Walk-a-thon, etc. It wasn't all work, of course. The group held picnics, a Christmas party, a ban- quet, and showed many fine movies. The climax of the year for many members was the National Conven- tion in Biloxi, MI. The chapter met with 1700 other Phi Theta Kappans for three days of excite- ment, companionship and learning. Two members of Beta Lambda were individually honored in Biloxi: Named to the society's Hall of K Honor were advisor Eric Fietz 8 1 president Carol Munch. Congratu- lations to the whole chapter! --Carol Munch 1975-76 Phi Theta Kappa officers L. to R.: Lori Tweedt, treasurerg Mary Butson, sec- S' COMES ALI E PHI TI-IET Members of Beta Lambda, a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
