Love rides the rails or will the mail train run tonight? Take a reversed old-time mel- odrama, long skirts, fluttering eyelids, some cool pink pa- jamas and loads of talent and you come up with another great play produced by the Waldorf Theatre, Company. JUNE This play was unique. The stage was designed in an old theatre style and the entire performance fol- lowed old theatre tradition. In between acts, talent- ed Waldorf students entertained the audience with singing acts, -a dancing line, and agile atheletes attractively attired in pink. During Intermission, the audience was even given the opportunity to buy Kidder's Candy at a special price! Throughout the play, references to familiar things gave the play local color'f, for instance, the mail train had to get to Leland. The play itself seemed to be an au- thenic nineteenth century melodrama. Mrs. Rhon- da Anderson accompanied the play with an old- time repetoire on the piano. Every member of the cast contributed to a totally enjoyable success. 1 G t
