Class Htstory Our school days began at Waldo Local School in the fall of 1947 wrth Mrs Groll as our teacher There were 22 pupxls rn our class They were Evelyn Adams, Homer Adams Ray Adams Sue Ellen Caldwell Robert Cellers Ronald Cellers Herbert Dempster Donna Dudgeon Kathleen Flemmg Maureen Furntss, Cecrl Hesson Betty Kxgley Lmda Lrchtenberger Wtlltam May, Barbara Meyers Janet Oborn Judy Peterson Joan Pilerder Patty Salyer Marrlyn Schmtdt Glenn Schultz and Ralph Tennar Lee McCorkle Joined our class lll the second grade and in the thrrd grade Judy Saxton Jomed us In the fourth grade we had 10 puprls rn our class Dur 1ng the frfth grade Tom Plumley Sue Plumley and Patty Cramer Jomed us In the seventh and erghth grade we had an average of 13 rn our class Mary Ann Naher entered the class durmg our Freshman year We were 1n1t1ated tnto hxgh school by the Senror Class whrch at the trme we thought was rough but all was forgiven when they honored us at the Freshman Dance that evemng Mrss Scranton was our advtsor In our Sophomore year Mrss Scranton was strll our home room teacher Our largest proJect th1s year was prmtlng basketball programs for the games Mrs Anthony was our home room teacher tn our Jumor year Leroy Wad dell entered our l1ttle group this year Durlng the year we sponsored a dance honored the Senlors by g1v1ng them a banquet at the Fort Hayes Hotel Ln Columbus ln our Semor year Mrs l-latten was our advrsor and our enrollment was 10 During our Sentor year we mrtrated the Freshman Class tnto hlgh school We presented a play entrtled Battle for B111 wh1ch we enJoyed presentmg very much We publlshed 6 edmons of the Cardmal the record number ever pub lished ln a stngle year and we also publlshed what we thmk ts a very good annual Commencement t1me flnally arnved and the students who graduated m the class of 1959 are Patr1c1a Cramer Lmda Lrchtenberger, Lee McCorkle Bar bara Meyers Mary Ann Naher Janet Oborn, Sue Plumley Tom Plumley Judy Saxton and Leroy Waddell Lmda Lrchtenberger and Lee McCorkle were the Co Valedtctonans of the class and Patr1c1a Cramer was our Salutatorran Rev Theodore Wendt from Waldo St Paul s Lutheran Church gave the ser mon for our Baccalaureate Servrce and Rev Phllrp E Auer from the Peace Lutheran Church in Gallon gave the address for the Commencement program The mvocatton was grven by Rev S C Long We ended our Semor year by gotng on a trrp for wh1ch we had worked so hard We went to Washlngton D C New York C1ty Atlantlc Crty and Phrladelphra Now we look forward to lrfe s road ahead. and put on a play entitled Girls Are Like That.
