We give to the coming Senior Class a portion of this financial wizardy plus the reminder that success comes through hard wbrk and co-operation. We, as a class, bequeath to the new Seniors all the fun we've had during our final fwe hopel year at Waldo High. We also give them the privilege of spending extra time in the halls and office and reduced time in Study Hall and classes. All these things we will to the class of 1957 and in addition the following individuals will their most precious personal talent to members of the new Senior Class. I, WALLACE G. BECKEL, JR. , will my deep bass voice to Merril Miller. I, PHYLLIS ANN BUXTON, will my ability to fight with boys to Carolyn Schultz. I, CAROLE SUE DENZER, will my musical talent to the Junior Class. A THE SENIOR CLASS of 1956 of WALDO HIGH SCHOOL 1-Tl 4 - R J' . .V m A , -J me wwf., 3, lj -,V 1--2' ' -w: The Prophecy of The Waldo I P Senior Class of l956 The Junior Class of 1956 decided to take a look into the futureg. a look into the livesgof the Senior Class of 1956. We gazed into our magic crystal ball and what do you think we saw? 1 We see WALLACE BECKEL playing third base with the Cleveland Indians, who just won the World Series. We see SUE DENZER and her fiance, Mel Noe, entering the Ohio State Student Union Building. We see RICHARD KAELBER as the solo trombonist in the U. S. Navy Band. We see WAYNE MCFARLAND checking the accuracy of the I.B. M. Machines on the television show, The Big Surprise. We see IRENE PFIRSCI-I and her partner, Doris Schorr, in their Sports- wear Store in Cardington. 'Their speciality is khaki slacks and Bermuda shorts. We see ZANE PLUMLEY taking the place of handsome, dashing Bob Cummings. Our crystal ball then began to get hazy and we couldn't see anything 'but clouds. We rubbed it and finally the cloudiness disappeared and we found we were looking at Texas. We see MARILYN RENGERT managing several oil wells which coinci- dently are near a certain Air Force Base. We see RONALD SCHULTZ as a farmer running the first atomic tractor with which you can plow 300 acres a day. We see JOYCE SHOAF as the editor of the Lonely Hearts Club at the Marion Star. We see Pasedena, California, during the Rose Bowl Festival. We find that the Rose Bowl Queen is none other than a favorite home town girl, JANE YAKE At the Rose Bowl Game we.find one of Waldo's top athletes, STANLEY YAKE playing fullback on U.C. L.A. 's unbeaten team. We decided to take a deeper look into the lives of these eminent people, but to do so we had to shine up the crystal ball. In the process of shining the ball it slipped out of our hands and broke into a million pieces. Thus this closed our look into the future.
