An August blast-off lifted us, the student body, into orbit for the 1969-70 school year. During our eventful journey we travelled many miles experiencing moments of joy, sorrow, excitement, and achievement. Our dreams and goals seemed as miraculous as the unbelievable walking of man on the moon. At various times all of us found ourselves stumbling in craters of perplexing problems and situations. However, with the courage, determination, and spirit characteristic of today’s vivacious youtli, we successfully explored many new horizons. We have made many footsteps around Wakelon this year in an effort to meet the challenges of education. 2

DEDICATED TO 1970 SENIOR CLASS Graduation always marks the beginning of a eompletely new life for members of any class. 11ns is a giant step in their lives. The Class of 1970 will leave Wakelon, but memories of cherished friendships and happy moments will remain forever in their hearts and in ours.
