IN MEMORIAM We, the class of 1955, present this edi¬ tion of the WAK-IGH-AN in memory of our beloved minister and friend, Rev. S. E. Mercer, who passed away in his sleep on November 22, 1954. Rev. Mercer was a member of the Wakelon School Board and was loved by all who knew him. As we prepare to meet life, his life will stand as an inspiration and challenge. We, the class of 1955, present this edi¬ tion of the WAK-IGH-AN in memory of our beloved classmate, James Leamon Long, Jr. He was killed in an accident in the summer of 1945 after our second year in school. And now, as we prepare to graduate and go our separate ways, our hearts are saddened that James Leamon is not here to share this last companionship with us.
