CLASS POEM Our school life now is closing; We leave with heavy hearts. Within your walls, dear Wakelon, Our memory ne’er departs. We leave with dreams of life ahead, Each dream a separate place; For when we leave dear Wakelon, We meet life face to face. We hear the future calling, To meet it we must strive; With lofty heads and hearts so strong. Goes forth the Class of Fifty-five. Class Poet Jean Bunn CLASS SONG (Tune; Bells of Saint Mary ) The bells of old Wakelon, Our dear Alma Mater, To us they are ringing A love song so dear. Our class will remember The good days together, We’ll cherish you, we’ll honor You, forever more. We classmates together, Now bid you adieu, For soon, we will leave you, The school that we love. To you, our dear loved one, We pledge you our honor, and sing Our praise and love to you, Dear Wakelon High.
