Mr. Fred A. Smith, Principal of Wakelon School Mr. Smith, new to our school this year,is by no means new to the field of education. He attended Elon College and at- tended summer sessions at Duke University, University of North Carolina, and Wake Forest, He was principal at Rose Hill for 3 years, and has taught at Perquimans County High School, Ahoskie High School, Little- ton High School, and State College. Though Mr, Smith has been our principal for only a year, he has won the love and respect of all. In addition to his many duties as principal .he also led the Wakelon girls' basketball team victoriously to the County semi-finals tournament. k We, the Senior Class, will remember his words of guidance that he gave us during'the year that he was our leader,, as we go into our different paths of life. .
