The group met twice a week and started each practice with exercises emphasizing tone production, blending of the voices, and the correct pronun- ciation ofthe vowels. lllhey also did sight-reading and a Capella singing. 'llhe main events of the year were the Christmas Program, the llusker Conference Choral Clinic, the District Vocal Contest, and the Operetta. 'llhe Members of the hladrigal were selected from this group as were other small groups. 'llhe class met one period a week, and during this time made a study of both secular and religious music. Throughout the year, the group took active part in several activities, including the Christmas program, the operetta, and spring contest. lfliglit members of the Iioy's Glee made up the Hale Uctette, which also sang on several occasions. Soloists from the filec Club include iiill Larson, Donald Lloyd, 'lierry Carlson, liodney rlenningsen, and liichard Nan Yalin.
