MILO SUNEN Director of Athletics Mr, Milo Sonen, who has been at Wakeheld since its first year, re- ceived a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree in Education at the University of Maryland. He is VVakefielcl's Director of Athletics. MR. RICHARD JOHNSON Assistant Principal Mr. Richard Johnson, former football coach, recently became As- sistant Principal and Dean of Boys. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Virginia and his Masters Degree at George Washington University.

Mr. Ralph Kier, Associate Principal at Wakeheld for six years, manages student activities. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at State Teachers College, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and his Masters Degree from George Washington University. MRS. MARE Assistant Principal MR. KIER Associate Principal Mrs. Mary Mare, Assistant Principal and Dean of Girls, has attended Bucknell University, the Univer- sity of Michigan, and the graduate school of Clare- mont College, and received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees, having graduated from college Summa Cum Laude. Mrs. Mare was also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, a national honorary, literary so- ciety, and Pi Lambda Theta, an honorary educational group. In addition to being Dean of Girls, she admin- isters the Wakeheld Guides Association 'and honor study halls.

Guidance counsellors, one for each grade level, help guide Wakeheld students successfully through high school. Any student may malce an appointment with a counsellor to discuss both personal and academic prob- lems. For seniors, the guidance counsellor is a means of obtaining information about colleges and scholar- ships. Headed by Mr. Campbell, the Guidance staff is composed of six counsellors. GUIDANCE MR.
