Walter Knaack Vernon Miljeuich We, the class of 1987, wish to dedicate our Echo to the memory ofArvi Ahonen, Walter Knaack, Vernon Miljevich, Leroy Picoldi, James Ringsmuth, and Robert Yon — deceased fathers of the class of 1987. These six special people will be greatly missed by all who knew them. The Love they showed to their families lingers on even today and will last forever. We know they would be proud that their children have grown into adults through the influence, attention, and caring they showed them while they were here, even though they can’t be with us. We are sure that at graduation they will be with us in spirit and in our hearts. Leroy Picoldi James Ringsmuth Robert Yon Robert Rickard, hired to fill the vacancy left by George Osier who has moved to Central Mr. Rickard has done the work of two men, as he was later hired as acting superintendent. We the Seniors of 1987 would like to wish Mr. Rickard the best of luck in his future years at Wakefield High School. Mr. Roy Ellsworth, though he only stayed with us a short time, has done a variety of things for our school. We the Seniors of 1987 would like to extend our greatest appreciation for all his services. We would also like to extend the best of luck to him in the future. 4 Top row — Jack Luoma, Marco Movrich, Michael Heikkila, Rod Ritter. Bottom row — Virginia Linquist, Charles Picoldi, Sue Luoma. One of the five categories was favorite hangout. Nine people of the class put Holiday as their favorite hangout, eight put McDonald’s, three put Club 28, leaving 28 answers ranging from “home” to “wherever. The next category was favorite car. Almost everybody put a different answer. The most popular, however, was a Lambourghini, and others mentioned Corvettes, Porsches, a “yellow Pinto,” “Lincoln Continental, “Camaro“Pontiac Bonneville,” and a “suburban.” Another category was favorite party place, Ironwood had the most votes as favorite, with Rubberhead’s and “camp” tying for a close second. There were many other answers, including “my house, ” “wherever the booze is,” and “anyplace.” Favorite song was the next category. Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” was chosen the most. Some other favorites were “Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now,” by Starship, “Will You Still Love Me? by Chicago, and “You Gotta Fight for Your Right (to Party)” by the Beastie Boys. The last category was favorite saying. Some of the most frequently used sayings were “Whatever, ” “I’m sure, ” “I doubt it, ” Get a life, ” Oh well, ” “Waaa,” Chill out,” “Yea! Yea! That's the ticket, and the word used to describe a very ugly person, “Beazer. ” 20 CLASS PROPHECY What do you think or hope you'll be doing ten years after graduation??
