Springfest '76 Conceived as a weekend of fun and ac- tivity for Wake Forest faculty and students, Springfest '76 was a success in spite of the rain, apathy caused by pre-exam study lnania and the other usual problems en- countered when presenting a totally new program. Rain forced cancellation of many of the activities scheduled for Fri- day, April 30th, and caused Saturdays concert to be moved from Graylyn to Reynolda main lounge. Rosewater Blue and the High Countrymen played while free beer was dispensed from the men's lounges. Other activities included an egg-eating contest, a jello fight, a casino and free nos- talgia flicks. Although rain washed-out many of the activities, spirits were not dampened by the weather. Spontaneous cloggers at the bluegrass concert and smil- ing faces returning to the library to resume studying after a beer andfor jello break exemplify Springfest '76's success.
