Perry Belton Clark, M.D. A 1939-1986 A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Perry Clark began his Winston-Salem practice in 1972, after completing his residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He was president-elect of the Forsyth County Medical Society, president of Lyndhurst Gynecological Associates, and a clinical instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bowman Gray. He had been on the board of Planned Parenthood for six years and was an outspoken advocate of abortion and of prevention education as a way to reduce the number of teenage pregnancies. Dr. Clark died on November 30, 1986 A man larger than life, a devoted father and husband, a friend to so many. Friends and colleagues say that Perry Clark was a master at wringing all the potential andjoy out of each day. He was an assistant professor in the research programs of the Section on Hematology!Oncology. His personal research interests included work on hemophilia and other hereditary defects of coagulation. Dr. Stuart died on August 24, 1986. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and students.
