He grew fascinated With the peaceful aDDllCati0n of l'adiOnUClideS in nUCleaI' mediCihe. lh 1947 he moved to Little Rock, Al'KahSaS, to head the l'adl0lOQV deDal'tmeht. There he WaS pivotal in the eaI'lV work that resulted in the use of CObaIt 60 in radiotherapy. In 1955 he arrived in WihStOh-Salem as the head of Bowman Gl'aV School of NledlCine'S radiology department. Hefe he has continued with hiS l'eSeaI'Ch, DLlDliShlnQ over 100 articles and aDStl'aCtS. ln 1977 he retired as deDal tment chairman and OVeI' tWO-thll'dS ofthe l'eSidel'ltS he graduated Fetufhed for 3 banquet in hiS hOhOl'. He received the Gold Medal of the Amel'iCan College of RadiOlOQV in 1978, as Well as SCOI'eS of honors before and since. Now ih 1984, Dr. MeSChah h3S decided to retire. He and hiS wife Will remain ih WinStOh-Salem, Del'haDS With mOFe time fOI' tennis, Del'haDS with more time fOl' their SOn and three daUQhtefS - all outstanding Dl'OfeSSlOnal lndlVidLIalS. HiS Veal'S at Bowman Cl'aV have been valued by hiS DeeI'S, l'eSidentS, and StUdentS. He is a Wafm man, alWaVS a gentleman, with enel'QV and enthusiasm. He is a I'Ole model for all people.
