! 5 l l . it 1 ' 1 Q A . gy ' - Doctor ROBERT P. MOREHEAD was graduated from Wake Forest College in 1931 and 1932, receiving B.S. and MA, degrees. He obtained the M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical Col- lege in 1936 after having attended the Wake Forest School of Medicine for his pre-clinical training. ln 1937 he joined the staff of the School of Medical Sciences here as Instructor in Pathology. He is now chairman of that de- partment and Professor of Pathology. He has written some sixty papers and has two books and numerous articles in process. His honors comprise a long list and to it we humbly add this dedication. il Truly a professor, Doctor Morehead has busied himself with the practice of his art, teaching, research and administration. With all of this we have found him accessible and have gained through his counsel. ln the classroom he has mixed the didactic with the nonchalant and humorous. He has taught us the commonplace and the prodigious. We will not soon forget intermediate tumors or Moose Morehead and it is our pleasure to give him this book.
