IUNIORS Leland Weldy Marilyn Weldy Larry Sawyer Delores Andrews Glen Smeltzer Presrce L VICC Presrdenr Sec Tres Student Council Student Council CLASS OF 53 One bright September day in 1949 forty eager freshmen signed up to follow the trarl which leads to graduatron We chose Leland Weldy Captain Manlyn Weldy second Captain Larry Sawyer to keep our account Delores Andrews and Glen Smeltzer as our CrewmenCounc1l and Mr Rogers as ourCrewmenCh1ef Later 1n the year we docked at the edge OfL8kCMlCh1g8U rn Chrcago where we vrsrted the Museum of Scrence and lndustry the Aquarlum and the Plane tarlum Betore we started to set sail in the year 1950 we chose as our CrewmenCh1ef Mr Stine and for Captain we chose Marilyn Weldy Larry Sawyer as second Captarn Betty Kent and Naomr Goss to keep our accounts and Marie Hoover and Glen Smeltzer the Crewmen Councll In the fall of 1951 we started out with our voyage half frnrshed We chose as Crewmen Chref Mr Sheets as our Captam Leland Weldy Marilyn Weldy as second Captain Larry Sawyer to keep our accounts and Delores Andrews and Glen Smeltzer as our CrewmenCounc1l We made several stops thrs year at the harbor, one to sell magazrnes, one to sell cider, one to buy class rings, one for a class play and one for a party.
