HI mvpw Ile If we could turn the hands of time ahead, say to 1961--I wonder what the Class of '55 would be doing, Let's journey into the future awhile and see. Hey! There is Tom Cockrane now. Tom is a traveling salesman. He said he has been selling electric mouse traps for the past two years. I asked him if he was married and he said yes, that his wife is in Alaska living with the multi-millionaire widow, Lynne Cklestrivivxyz Uonesj. Let's mosey along with Tom and see if we can see some of the old gang, Hey! There's a hitchhiker. Why, it's Randy Culley. Seems as if he is on his way to Tampa, Florida, for spring baseball training. He said he missed the bus because he was held up and robbed by the notorious gangster, Bob Web- ber, but he was caught by private eye, Harvey Danielson. Here we are in New Orleans. I think I'll take notes of this nip. I'll go over and buy a pencil from this poor blind woman, Why it's Wilma Johnson! Seems like she went blind trying to edit the school annual of '55. I guess l'd better buy a paper and see what the world news is, seeings as how I'm so close to the newspaper stand, Why I'll be doggone--if it isn't Ralph Jones be- hind that counter! He just threw two plugs of tobacco in his mouth. Guess what the headlines are on this paper, President Deana Land has just de- clared war on Texas! l l What's this I read about the well-known owner of the 'Itchy Witchy Hair Tonic Company, Bob Rabern, getting mixed up in a scandalous story with Kay Hawks, a cigarette girl in a night club? What's this little article down here in the corner? 'Nancy Howard drowns trying to swim the English Channel. Poor girl--she never could swim a lick. Tom's anxious to get on to Los Angeles, so had better throw this paper away. As we come into the big city, we see a crowd around this telephone pole. Some one said Wayne Powers is up there, He's trying to break the pole sitting record. He's been up there two hours now. Oooopsl Doesn't look as if he will break it, He just fell off. His nurse at the hospital is the well-known Second Nightingale, Jo Hall, His doctor is jo's husband, Victor Langdon, In his three years of practice he has only saved five of his patients, Well, I'm rather tired of traveling so I think I'll stop off here. Oops! --almost tripped over that little boy playing marbles. Well, what do you know! It's George Woodl I guess he will never grow up, Whew, I'm sleepy: there's a park bench where I can sleep, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ 1 Ill td' Aluaf I, Tom Cockrane, will my mathematical ability to my sis, Judy, who needs it, I, Nancy Howard, will my ability to type a five-letter word and make six mistakes to my speedball sis, Patty. I, Bob Rabern, will myself to any good-looking girl who might come along, I, Harvey Danielson, will all my F's to anyone who can use them. I, Randy Culley, will myself to all the girls, I, Victor Langdon, will my ability to help Ginny with her studies to Jerry Baker, I, Jo Hall, will Sonny to Ethel, for safekeeping, I, Wilma Johnson, will my baritone sax, Betsy, to anyone who can stand the noise. I, Ralph J ones, will my ability to make a car out of a wreck to Bryan Lee. I, Wayne Powers, will my ability to drive cars to Des Witt, I, Lynne Jones, will my flapper dress to the girls of WHS, because they will probably be wearing them next year if Christian Dior keeps up. I, Kay Hawks, will my ability to run into trees, posts, curbs, holes, pedestrians, etc. , in my car, to next year'sI driving class, I, Deana Land, will to Rosie McConnell all the fun in nigh school that I had. I, George Wood, will my red cowboy boots to Miss Comer so she will have something that will stand out. We, the senior class of '55, will all of our overdue bills to the student bodyg and all of our good looks, poise, intelligence, and manners to the juniors, who need them, dna. UWTET TRIO On April twenty-fifth over one hundred people gathered at Preston Hall for the an- nual Iunior Prom. From the moment of entrance through the decorated arch into the Devil's Domain, one was impressed with the outstanding de- corations. One wall was entirely covered with a black background with red leaping flames. At the end of the room was a real- istic spiral staircase leading out of the flames up into the clouds. The orchestra box at the far end of the room was decorated with red streamers and music notes. Eighth grade girls dressed in red costumes to coincide with the theme, served the punch and handed out the programs. The king and queen were the happy but surprised Russ Hays and Beryl Hall. The coronation was followed by the Grand March, led by the new Prom royalty. Preceding the dance a banquet in honor of the seniors was held. It was prepared by the junior class mothers and served by the sophomores. Entertainment was given by Bryan Lee who, played a piano solo and the sophomores, who presented a version of the singing waiters and sang 'Melody of Love. The juniors worked hard to make the prom a success as it certainly was, The seniors will always remember their night in THE DEVILS DOMAIN g 5 3 fly 5 3 :E 5 K 2 lx 2 .
