Our Mr. Youngquist has experienced this rare satisfaction. Under his guidance, students in classes of Mechanical and Industrial Design have in national competition of a thousand schools during the past seven years won first prize six times, winning the second prize the odd year. Three times did his student entries win all four prizes and many honorable mentions. The Annual Staff is eagertto express the thanks of Waite for his contribution toward Waite's national recognition and for adding so materially to VVaite,s long list of traditions and accomplishments. 14 AITE S ATIO ALLY KNOWN I DLISTRIAL ARTS DRAWING COMPETITIO 1 ,Y-its Iggy! We are proud to say that our class had the First organized Sophomore Class at Waite. For the first time in many years, the Senior Prom and Banquet were held sepa- rately. g'Sweetheart Serenade was held on May 29, on Senior Day, at Ashland Hall. Another successful event, sponsored by our Senior Class, was the All .School Play, What a Lifef' Who can forget the exciting Washing- ton and New York. Need we say more? The Baccalaureate service was held on June 8. What we will remember most is our Commencement, held on June 12, with the girls in white and the boys in the traditional blue. Our sincere thanks to Miss Hart for her constant help and guidance in our Senior year.
