ORE WORD .. The theme that we have carried throughout this year's Purple and Gold is that of the circus. In the role of pro- duction manager is Mr. Philip Conser and having charge of the show are the ring masters Miss Marguerite Griffith and Mr. Fred Klag. EDICATIO This year the thirty-fourth edition of the yearbook makes its dedication to Arthur Mills who has just completed his twentieth year of teaching here at Waite. He has been ably trained for this position, having received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. During his first years at Waite, he was assistant and head baseball coach, trainer for athletic teams, and had charge of the purchase and care of athletic property. In 1937 he was dean of Freshman boys and for the last ten years has been advisor for the Q.D.'s. He has also taken an active part in the annual magazine campaigns. By his performance, much amusement has been added to the faculty shows fol- lowing the last two drives. One of Mr. Mills' most outstanding accomplishments was the standardization of the club sweaters. This took place during the depression and was a great saving to the students. For his unusual understanding and interest in the school and its activities and in the students and their problems, we are proud to dedicate this yearbook to him.
