This year the Silver .Xnniversary Edition of our memory album will attempt to carry you back to the premier year book. and point out the similarities and contrasts between the ages and show the progress that has been accomplished. May everyone who reads our humble publication, whether he be a graduate of the class of '15 or of the elass of '39, gain some pleasure. and may it bring back the memories that we all hold dear. Many Changes have been made. but we believe that there is one thing' that will always remain the same-the spirit of VVaite High School was strong at its beg'iiming'. and now, on its twenty-fifth birth- day, it is still as strong' and loyal as when the first stone was laid. It was in this chaotic year that VVaite High School was erected in liast Toledo. Witli this memorable occasion came the necessity for clubs and organizations with which to hold the interest and attention ot the students. As time progressed someone Qbless himj suggested that a record be made of the school year's highlights, and that it be called the Pzfrfvlc and Gold. Thus the Annual started on its road to student fame. Leading pioneers in the tield of education at this time were: Doctor Vvlllilllll B. Guitteau, Superintendent of Schools. and Charles NV. Gayman, our tirst Principal.
