BRAVO ZULU From CINCUSNAVEUR: As you begin your journey home, you can be well satisfied you have been challenged greatly and responded superbly during your deployment to the Sixth Fleet. Flying above the Mediterranean, cruising its surface or visiting its ports, your image constantly has been that of a ready power for peace - a comforting presence for our friends and a firm reminder to our potential adversaries. In so doing, you have reaffirmed the Carrier Battle Group as one of the primary instruments of U.S. national power and commitment. I am pleased to share your pride and professionalism, and wish you a safe voyage home to your loved ones. VADM SCHOULTZ sends. From COMNAVSURFLANT: Congratulations as you complete an outstanding deployment. During this peri0d of high tensions, you have done a splendid job of representing our nation's interests. Your superb performance during Exercise Display Determination and high state of readiness throughout the deployment were noted with professional pride. Well done and best wishes for a deserved homecoming. VADM MCCAULEY sends. From COMSIXTHFLT: The officers and men of FORRESTAL Battle Group have performed superbly through- out a demanding deployment to SIXTHFLT. I wish you a safe voyage home and a Joyful reunion with family and friends. From COMCARGRU SIX: As the Med 2A-86 BG disbands and heads toward new taskings each of you should h carry wit you the satisfaction of knowing that you have upheld your responsibilities in a thorjoughly professional manner. We sailed on time, virtually CASREP free scheduled for a Seventh Fleet de lo t d h'f d ' nts , p ymen , an s 1 te asslgnmeu to the Sixth Fleet on short notice. You executed that shift without missing a beat and met every commitment during the ensuing deployment. Fuel constraints, limited OPTEMPO, emergent tasking and the constant re uirements to Cl maintain a high state of readiness have tested the ingenuity and leadership of each commander in the force. I am roud to sa th t h h p y a you ave met t ose challenges most successfully. It has been my pleasure to command the battl6 group. Smooth sailing and well done.
