Wise's administration, l924-1928, the need for more school buildings became apparent. The people of the community also wanted the school to become a senior high school. In 1935, the people had their wish, for the late Senator Clem Gomes, a former student of Waimea English School, introduced a bill to the territorial legislature to consider this school a senior high school. The bill was passed. The first senior class graduated the following year in June, 1937, Since thena gym- nasium, three modern buildings, and a swimming pool have been added to the campus. A Jubilee committee composed of faculty and community members worked out a gala celebration which included a parade, pageant, shows, concessions, exhibits, aquacade and a luau held on March 8 and 9. Early graduates and the following administrative heads were honored, the Messrs. M. Clower, Sup't of Kauai Public Schools, H. Case, Com- missioner, S.Tsuchiya, and former principals, D.
