Prisonball, basketball, volleyball and baseball gave the teams a chance for keen competition. Rules and techniques were learned in physical education classes and applied in the contests which were scheduled dur- ing the special periods. Monday of each month found the girls eagerly looking forward to a tussle on the field. Roosters composed of high school students turned out to cheer their favored team to victory. The backers were com- posed of students interested in sports, for in these games the education classes challenged upper classmen who were not enrolled in any of the physical education courses.
