ia, -an l Q!! 552 SEE s The Collegiate Course is only one of the. areas of study offered the students of Waimea High School, Its primary pur- pose is to prepare those students who wish to continue their education at a college or university. To qualify for college en- trance, students enrolled in this course at Waimea High must achieve satisfactory grades in spoken English, and complete satisfactorily 10 units of work in the following subjects: English, social studies, algebra and mathematics, Spanish, science fphysical or biologicalj, and 5 units in any other work credited by our school toward graduation, such as prevocational sub- jects---homemaking for girls, and vocational agriculture for boys, These courses are taught in departments of which the heads are Mrs. Juanita C, Mundon, Englishg Mr. Kazuichl Hira- no, social studies: Mr. Yasuo Higa, scienceg and Miss Ruby Emura, mathematics. 15
