Thurber’s Carnival On March27thand30th the drama class directed by Connie Dillow, put on the third annual dinner theater. The play, “Thurber’s Carnival , was actually twelve smaller plays put together. .Two of the most popular plays were “Mr. Preble Trys to Get Rid of His Wife” and “Walter Mitty”. In “Preble” Mr. Preble, played by Randy Gerdts, wants to kill his wife, Lanette Dvorak, so he can run away with his secretary, Jill Smith. Mrs. Preble, knowing her husband wants to kill her, scares him out of it by pretending to want to kill him. This play brought in lots of laughs and the acting was wonderful. Walter Mitty” played by Gene Ridgely was a middle class man that daydreamed that he was a famous doctor, a famous pilot, and a famous military general. The play hit home to many people because everyone pretends to be something they aren’t. The play was a big success and most everyone fully enjoyed it. ABOVE Eddie Boles, Ann Maly, Char Kraviec, Eric Lubker, Gene Ridgley, Jayme Richardson, Jason Bromm, Kim Johnston, and Randy Gerdts go crazy in the outrageous “World Dance . ABOVE Mother (Susan Lemberg) doesn't always know best,” says Father (Brett Richardson) after the Wolf (Gene Ridgely) has taken their daughter (Michelle Abbott) jn the “Wolf at the Door”.

Walt Disney Here The 1986-87 Wahoo Warrior Band under the direction of Bill Reece had a very busy but exciting year. Once every four years the band takes a trip, this year the band is headed down to Florida to march in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Parade. They will also visit the famous Epcot Center. To afford to take this wonderful trip, the band had to do many fund raisers which included car washes, Shoot for Loot at basketball games, raffles, skin patch tests, and they even sold and made pizzas. The Warrior marching band had a successful season also. They marched at the State Fair, NSBA Contest, and Band Masters contest. An Excellent was received at both.
