“Good News” Despite conflicting schedules and a few minor setbacks which postponed the production for one week, the cast, crew, and directors were able to do a fine production of this year’s comedy-musical, “Good News”. From eight hour lock-in rehearsals in the beginning, to the final two hour show, “Good News”, was just that. Set in the 1920’s on the campus of Tait College, the cast did a fine job of hamming-it-up on the college circuit. Through Babe O’Days (Jane Cook) antics of pursuit of the search of her “true love” Bobby Randall (Steve Carmer) or “Beef” Saunders (John Gilliam) to the melo-dramaCEIove story between football star Tom Marlowe (Ryan Barry), his astronomy tutor Constance Lane (Carrie Collins) and her overbearing cousin Patricia Bingham (Connie Laudenback), the production showed twists of fate for the stars as well as comedic support from the rest of the cast. The rest of the cast included: Justin Chisholm, Tony Barnes and Mike Rezac as the three drunks; Charlotte Kraviec as Flo; Rhonda Semrad as Millie; Jim Pokorny as Pooch; Scott Childers as Coach; Brett Richardson as Prof. Kenyon; Rob Brigham as Sylvester; Darin Svoboda as Windy; Shane Zavodny as the Gate Keeper; and Beth Brandt, Sandra Rogers, Kim Johnston, Tracy Kelley, Tracy Peterson, Carol Cook, Lisa Nozicka, Laura Hoffman, Amy Tejral, DeEtte Pospisil, Barb Kaiser and Cindy Slemin as the Sorority girls. Janice Trutna was the student director. BELOW Babe teaches the art of Craps. BELOW RIGHT Connie sings of her luck in love. RIGHT They eliminate the middleman. ABOVE RIGHT Pi Beta Phi girls.
