State Trophy for Mock Trial The members of the 1986 Mock Trial team had a very productive season this year, winning their district and bringing home a fourth place trophy from the state competition in Lincoln. The team started out the season with a loss to Malcolm. The Wahoo team then came back to defeat Lincoln East. On Saunders County Government Day, Wahoo defeated Wahoo Neumann at the Saunders County court house to become district champions. In the trial for regional champion, Waho lost to Osceola by one point. Osceola was then supposed to advance to state but could not because of team conflicts. The Wahoo Mock Trial team was then invited to take their place. The team had four trials at the state competition and came home with a fourth place trophy. Members of the 1986 Mock Trial team were as follows: Matt McDonald, Sandra Rogers, Tracy Kelley, Brett Richardson, Scott Childers, Jeff Ohnoutka, Rhonda Semrad, and Tracy Peterson. The team was coached by teacher Bev Hudson and attorney Curt Bromm. TOP The Mock Trial team awaits verdict at their first trial.
