Speech Team Grows Despite increased participation and the return of some State veterans, the 1986 Speech Team failed to place at Districts, and so did not qualify for State competition this year. However, two of last year's qualifiers did place at Conference with J.B. Kethner Conference with J.B. Ketner taking second in extemporaneous speaking and Stacy Motes taking first in poetry. Also encouraging were the team’s increased numbers, which included first-time members Brett Richardson, Jeff Ohnoutka, Amy Fox, Pam Turnwall, and Anne Brandt. Rounding out the team were returning membersTori Dillowand Sandra Rogers. BELOW Tori Dillow, Pam Turnwall, Stacy Motes and Anne Brandt presented a scene from Lillian Helman's The Children’s Hour” for dramatic interpretation.
