Stars Give Prom Romantic Mood Lisa Dvorak and Joe Walker were chosen as King and Queen at the 1985 Dancing in the Dark prom on May 10 at 10:30 p.m. in the Wahoo High School gym. The annual banquet was held at the Presbyterian Church. Superintendent Dick Glock was the speaker. He gave an entertaining speech in which the four high school classes were compared. The skit was presented by the sophomore prom servers. They gave different joke awards to various seniors in which they interpreted their personalities. The dance was held in the high school gym at 9:00 p.m. TEEZ provided the sound and entertainment. Blue and silver streamers hung from the ceil- ing, with stars giving the appearance of night. Joe Vculek took the pictures of the couples and friends. Mrs. Hans-sen, the junior sponsor, helped organize the dance. The candidates were announced by Chris Johnson. They were: Staci Miller, Brian Gilliland, Ann Hancock, Brian Lubker, Kris Johnston, Dave Pauli, Lisa Dvorak, and Joe Walker. 17
