Second Year at D.C. Great Success This year a group of students from Wahoo again visited Washington, D.C., through the Close-Up program. The eleven juniors, accompanied by their fearless leader Mick Anderson, spent a week touring the sights of the nation's capitol. Some of the highlights included visits to the Vietnam, Jefferson, and Lincoln Memorials, meetings with Nebraska's representatives, a day on Capitol Hill, and an evening out at the musical Oklahoma! A dance and banquet rounded out the week. The school board gave all eleven students half-scholarships. 11

I Am The Warrior '84 Homecoming Theme Spirit Week really got the athletes, pep club members, and faculty members pepped-up for Homecoming night this year. The girls showed their spirit by making Spirit Boxes, Carters, and wearing one of the athlete's jerseys. Other days consisted of 60's Day and Blue Gold Day. The Junior girls gave one of the best skits in the last few years. They made up a dance to the song Ghostbusters, but made up their own words and called it Terrierbusters. I am the Warrior was this year's Homecoming theme. Disappointingly, the Warriors lost to the Valley Terriers 6-0. Spirits were still high, though, as Junior Tori Dillow announced Candace Prokesh and Dan Hoer as the 1984 Royalty. 12
